Why we show net P&L, not gross

Most performance screenshots you see for intraday options are gross. They show what the position made before brokerage, exchange transaction charges, STT, GST and stamp duty come out. On a strategy that takes several trades a day, that gap is not a rounding error.

On our own demonstration account, charges have been running at roughly a third of gross P&L. A day that looks like a solid win on a gross basis can be flat, or negative, once the costs land.

What we publish

  • Net P&L per day, after every charge.
  • The gross figure and the charges alongside it, so you can see the gap.
  • Losing days, in full. We do not filter them.
  • Trade counts and win rate, so a single outsized day cannot carry the story.
A number you cannot verify the cost basis of is not a performance figure. It is marketing.

None of this makes past results predictive. Markets change, liquidity changes, and your own risk settings and capital will differ from ours. It only means the numbers you see are the numbers that landed in the account.
